that’s how I feel right now!  Sorry I haven’t been updating lately.  I’ve been sick, the girls have been sick, and now Jesse is sick.  FUN times around here!  NOT

Got out my zoom lens today to play around w/.. I haven’t used it as much so I wanted to try manual shots w/ it.  Got outside and the sun INSTANTLY went behind the clouds LOL.. no sunny pictures at all!  But I took some anyway   (it’s a 70-300mm BTW)

This meal was fun to fix AND eat.. and would be loads of fun at a get-together or for company. It’s actually meatloaf “iced” w/ mashed potatoes!

First, make your meatloaf and put it into round pans.. if you are having more people over make more layers

As that cooks get your other stuff together..

the barbeque sauce, ketchup or whatever you use to top off your meatloaf is in one pan, make your mashed potatoes or get instant one’s out.. I’ve never actually made instant before but it makes a nice texture to ice the “cake” with. A spatula or knife to ice it with, food coloring if you want any of the “icing” a diff. color, a icing bag and tip (tip.. get a REAL icing bag.. I couldn’t find mine so I used a ziploc bag.. which promptly split at the seams), a bowl to mix the diff. color of icing in, and a stand for the cake. I also got out some mushrooms and peppers to use to decorate the “cake” with.

the mashed potatoes.. Brianna thought the green one’s were “cool”

after the meatloaf is cooked put the bottom layer on the pan and put a layer of the topping on it (be sure not to get to close to the edge since it will smosh out and get mixed in with the mashed potato icing)

keep stacking the layers.. I only had two since it was for our smallish family

ice and decorate the cake! you could get really fancy w/ this but I was in a hurry and feeling lazy LOL

I broke out one of my denim maternity jumpers this morning.. it’s super comfy but easily 2 months preggo to big on me LOL.. I look ridiculous.    I think the worse part is knowing this thing will actually FIT before too long!

Had to go the midwife again yesterday   It’s hard to believe 5 weeks had already went by since the last one!  Everything looked great and I’m measuring a bit ahead so that was nice.   I’m about to the halfway point!  (actually a bit past the halfway point of when I had both of my girlies so mabye I’m already there )

okay, after we move the room nearest our’s is going to house the crib, matching chest of drawers for the baby clothes, the kids armoire for toys v.c.r. etc.., and then work as a sort of play room for the girls.

Since we aren’t finding out the sex I need something sort of gender neutral and I’m liking this stuff so far.

I took the girls to my parents house tonight where we ate a picnic dinner w/ Kimberly and Phillip (my sister and her husband) and than swam for awhile.  The girls had a blast

Now we all see what Phillip does in their pool!   Pours out Dr. Pepper!  (okay, it’s really empty, rinsed out and full of water.. I just photoshopped it too look like there is dr. pepper in there to be mean LOL)

tried to get a picture of the girls feet (the new header) and it’s amazing how hard that was LOL.. let’s just say they were NOT in the mood to sit still so I just gave up and settled with the only one they let me take, no matter how bad it turned out (thus the heavy editing LOL)

Canvas on Demand    I had ordered one of those pictures of the girls on a 16 x 20 canvas from them (on wed. less than 2 days ago)  they called me to let me know they got the picture and they needed to do a custom size for it since it’s a digital print and a few more things but it was no extra charge and they’d get right on it.  Now, that alone impressed me.. you NEVER hear from a company!  And, I got it TODAY!   Not to mention it’s GORGEOUS.
