We are still building the house and that’s kept Jesse busy busy.
It’s being painted at the moment and that makes it feel more “done” though
I’m looking forward to when that’s completed and the cabinets get uncovered.
Anyway.. yesterday we went and looked at the house and I actually remembered my camera! Afterwards we went and ate and then got ice cream at Coldstone which the girls REALLY enjoyed
The front of the house from a not so good angle

In the living room looking into the dining area.. you can also see thru the bar into the kitchen a bit

And Brianna Kaye with the “treasures” she discovered in the house

Seems crazy that I’ll be going into the last 10 week stretch here very soon. Actually, considering both of my girls arrived at 38 weeks I’m already in it. Yikes!
Anyway, proof that the baby is still growing and growing..

I don’t know.. I mean I’m more wasteful than I could/should be.. we try to cut down on our junk a bit but it’s so hard to nowadays. I wonder if Adam and Eve knew how good they REALLY had it! I’m guessing that if they could have had a glimpse at New York City or some other big city they would have put back that forbidden fruit as fast as possible. I guess that’s why it’s fun to go on vacations to places like Colorado etc.. it’s nice to see some unspoiled gorgeous land… still just like God created it! In many ways modern conveniences are wonderful.. and I freely admit I don’t want to give them up.
I just wish there were a way to be a bit less wasteful and unhealthy while doing it you know?

Okay, I’ve still been looking around at decor and found this..
These are the nice 2″ wide faux wood blinds like we like but you can put murals on them! Since we are casing out the windows we aren’t doing curtains in most places and I think this will look great.
Here is an example of a finished window with the blinds shut..

I’m debating between these four choices for the baby room (to match the stuff in the lower post)

We are decorating thru the house with reds, oranges, and yellows (no bright colors.. all deep varations of those) so I think these two would go pretty well.. just not sure which one! I’m planning on doing something winnie the pooh for the girls blinds.

Okay, I’ve made an 180 turn on the baby/play room idea.. from contemporary to vintage.. and decided to just go with my inner dorkish kid self
I LOVE this set and couldn’t believe Jesse said it was fine! A lot of it had to do with the fact that the new houses walls are a bit yellow with a black/amber/chocolate floor.. just could NOT see green OR blue in that room! So, I’m going with this.. and LOVE it.. even it it’s not as “cool”
So, I just ordered this crib set

And here are a few of the decorations I’ve found so far to go with it
handdrawn pictures done in the 1940’s

a 1934 wood pull toy

two cars made in the 1960-70’s

and two really old books

Still looking for some other stuff and I’d love to find an old metal bike or something to hang from the celing.

Everything still going well.
Got to get my lovely rogham shot which for the first time EVER didn’t hurt at ALL.. seriously.. I didn’t think she had even given it to me yet so that was a nice surprise.
Also got my finger pricked.. everything good there (blood sugars, etc.. I’m slightly anemic as usual.. but like I said that’s usual for me) The surprise to me was that I’m measuring over a month ahead.. now I know why I’ve grown so much this month! I’ve gained 2 months worth of actual baby room (or fundal height for you technical folk) and only gained a small amount of weight so that made me feel better. (that my size isn’t just extra flab LOL) I’m just hoping I catch up and dont’ STAY a month ahead.. I’ll be HUGE by the end if so!

Well, for those of you familiar with pregnancy terms… I’m entering the third trimester this week.. Yeah!!!
I’m also HUGE. This past month I’ve popped an insane amount. If it wasn’t for my early ultrasounds I’d be worried about twins! But, I’m just big LOL
Notice Brianna showing off her belly

Still working on the girl name LOL.. to be honest … no CLUE on that front yet!
We thought we had a boy name decided on but just recently changed it
So, if it’s a boy we’ll have a little Rohan Michael Eugene McDaniel
And for those of you that recognize it.. yep, it’s once again from DH’s fav. fictional book. And, the two middle names are for our great dads.

The food is taking longer than I expected to cook and I am SO hungry
It’s not helping that the smell keeps drifting in here
In other news.. Lorien FINALLY feel asleep around 7:30. She just did NOT want a nap today and boy did she need one. I walked into our bedroom and she had feel sound asleep on our floor.
Poor little munchkin was all tuckered out.
Also, anyone got a good insurance they can recommend that’s reasonably priced? We are probably going to switch mine after I have this kiddo because using a midwife is SO much cheaper we don’t need that really good coverage anymore.
I might just drop it all together but it is nice to have around just in CASE you end up having a preemie or something. I’ll def. keep it until after this baby arrives but am interested in any suggestions you guys might have. Although it was nice to find out my insurance actually covers home-birth midwives! It was nice to hear at that bit of news.
In other news our house is coming along nicely. I should take some pictures and post them here pretty soon huh? The outside is just about rocked and the inside now has WALLS ready for texture and paint… cabinets are the next step I think. We are still as much as 8 weeks out from being finished but it’s starting to look more done.
I’m just hoping we get in before the baby is here! I think moving at 8 months pregnant will be easier than moving with a newborn.

couldn’t resist adding this picture
It’s not good from a photography aspect but it’s so sweet
Brianna fell asleep w/o getting in her jammies even.
I love how comfy Lorien looks too. Can you believe how much the flash lights up a dark room?
